We are an ~two-hour drive from the airport on nice, new highway that is comfortable for foreigners to drive.

The Guanacaste Airport offers a variety of car rental options.
Alternatively, we recommend prebooking air-conditioned vans through the Samara Info Center (www.samarainfocenter.com). They are reliable and will be waiting for you upon arrival at the airport. They are also great for airport drop-offs at the conclusion of your trip and can accommodate you at any hour of the day.
There are car rental options in Samara that may be more affordable and convenient than renting at the airport and can be a good option if a car is not necessary for the entirety of your stay.

No! While many guests prefer to have a car rented, Soleil Samara offers “walkable urbanism” in a tropical beach town setting. Depending on your demographic, it may be nice to have bikes or a golf cart rental to get around, but it’s not necessary. We are located in a perfect, quiet spot near the town and beach.
If you wish to take day trips and explore other nearby areas and beaches or towns, it is nice to have a car. There are multiple good car rental options in town including Alamo and National.

Yes! We have a gated parking lot that includes one stall per villa with your stay. It is also safe to park additional vehicles on the road outside Soleil Samara as well.

Soleil Samara is a short five-minute walk to the beach! With a bike, car, golf cart of quad, it might take two minutes.

Soleil Samara is located in a quite residential area just outside of the Samara town center. There are restaurants and cafés just outside the gates, including the delicious Boulangerie bakery. The town center is a five-to-ten-minute walk with an abundance of restaurants and café options available.

Yes, there are three of them within a five-minute walk of Soleil Samara. They also sell alcohol, household goods, beach toys and other things you may want during your stay.
